363 people crossed the Channel in small boats on Saturday, figures reveal

A total of 23,129 people have now crossed the English Channel since the start of 2026.
More than 350 people arrived in the UK by making the perilous English Channel crossing in small boats on Saturday, the latest migration figures show.
Some 363 migrants crossed in five boats, according to figures published overnight by the Home Office.
This followed 161 people making the journey in three boats on Friday, breaking a four-day period of no crossings.
A total of 23,129 people have now crossed the English Channel since the start of 2026.
That remains far below last year’s total of more than 41,000 people, and is the lowest number for the year to date since 2022, when 39,939 people made the journey by November 7.
