Strictly Come Dancing star Will Best feels like “the luckiest person in the entire world” after becoming a father.

The Big Brother presenter, 41, announced on Thursday that he and his partner, Tobi Rose, had become parents to their newborn baby Sonny.

Speaking on Hits Radio Breakfast Show on Monday, Best said: “What a week! Life as a dad is great but he’s a chill during the day, party at night kind of boy.

“He really comes alive around 1am and then he’s like straight through crew!

“You have that thing with newborn babies… Most of the time he’s just snoozing on my chest and it is the most surreal beautiful thing you can possibly imagine.

“And then there are other times where you are like ‘do they go back in?’

“You just catch yourself gazing at him and thinking I am the luckiest person in the entire world, so it is magical.”

Announcing his son’s birth, Will wrote on Instagram: “Well who do we have here then?!

“Welcome to the world Sonny Best, you little smasher. @tobiroseofficial you’re a miracle and I love you so much.

“A couple of tired new parents (see last slide) but oh my goodness aren’t we lucky.”

Best announced he was expecting his first child in a post to Instagram earlier this year recapping his summer, which featured a mirror selfie alongside his fiancee with his hand on her growing baby bump.

Best has been in a relationship with Rose for almost 15 years, and he asked the stylist to marry him during a romantic getaway to Italy in 2024.

He has worked as a broadcaster for more than 15 years, beginning his screen career as a presenter on T4 before appearing on This Morning, BBC Three and Viva.

Best is taking part in the current series of Strictly Come Dancing where he is partnered with Dianne Buswell.
