WATCH: 'Children In Crossfire' documentary from Derry's Creggan Eestate (1974)

Told in their words the documentary talks to children caught up in the troubles

In 1974 BBC featured a documentary entitled 'Children in Crossfire', which examined the effect the conflict had on the lives of young people caught up in the troubled areas of Derry's Creggan estate and Belfast.

Children who, even then, had for five years lived with violence and death as an everyday fact of life. The story is told through their songs, games and paintings. It's told in their words and in the words of their parents.
