Jimmy Kavanagh paid tribute to his team who took to the streets canvassing and supporting his election weekend having gotten over the line in the 13th count in Letterkenny.
"We're on the road now since the day after St Patrick's Day," Kavanagh said at the Aura Centre.
Michael McBride, Donal Coyle, Ciaran Brogan joined Kavanagh in getting elected on Monday, so the quarter joined Fianna Fáil's Donal Mandy Kelly, Gerry McMonagle of Sinn Féin and Tomás Seán Devine, 100% Redress Party, who were all elected on Sunday.
