The clock is ticking on plans for the 2023 Laois Jobs Fair which Laois Chamber expects to bring thousands of jobseekers to Portlaoise in search of new opportunities.
The event was first held in the 2020 just before the pandemic hit. It was brought back in 2022 when the expo attracted thousands more people to meet many local potential employers and other agencies.
"We are delighted to announce the return of the Laois Jobs Fair again in 2023," said the chamber in a newsletter to local business.
Some 40 exhibitors had stands on the day. They included local, national, and international companies, with 100s of roles available.
There was also an training and education aspect to the day with the LOETB, Apprenticeship Services, IT Carlow, National Learning Network, and Technological University of the Shannon also present. The Laois Hub Collective also showcasing the co-working and remote working hub facilities around the county.
A Ukrainian hub was also set up on the day to help refugees who were seeking work in Ireland having fled the Russian invasion.

The event takes place on Monday 20th February 2023 in the Midlands Park Hotel, Portlaoise, from 12pm to 7pm.
