The deadline for nominations for this year's Laois Community and Voluntary Awards has been extended.
The awards, held by Laois County Council in conjunction with Laois PPN and their long-standing sponsor People First Credit Union, recognises the outstanding community and voluntary work that goes on right across the county.
This week we spoke to Caroline Lydon, CEO of Laois Partnership about their sponsorship of the social inclusion award.
The deadline for nominations has been extended to Friday, August 9 at 4pm.
"We understand that summer holidays and busy schedules might have delayed your plans to nominate those exceptional groups and organisations in your community. Now is your chance to give them the recognition they deserve!" said Tom Curran, Age Friendly Laois.
"Who will be this year’s category winners, unsung hero or junior volunteer? These awards happen only once a year, celebrating the outstanding community spirit in Co Laois. Don’t wait until 2025—submit your nomination today!
The nomination process is quick and easy. : Nominate using the website www.laois.ie, through the online portal (https://laoiscoco. submit.com/) or request a hardcopy nomination form by calling 05786 64150 / 05786 64236.
