Laois Rose hopeful Mia Gavigan wowed the audience at the selection event on Friday, April 18 with her rendition of Billie Eilish's 'What Was I Made For?' as gaeilge. The Coppers barwoman took to the stage to put her own twist on the song from the Barbie Movie. The 19-year-old is one of 17 applicants that have entered this year's Laois Rose selection process. The winner, who will go on to take part in the televised International Rose of Tralee in Kerry this August, will be announced later tonight.
