VIDEO: Exclusive peek inside 'fabulous' new Kolbe special school in Laois

Pupils and staff enjoy first days in Portlaoise specialised school

The new purpose built €15 million home of Kolbe Special School in Laois has opened at last in Portlaoise.  After a long campaign by parents and staff, the 48 pupils who have moderate to severe disabilities, moved in on Monday April 20.

A day later, the Leinster Express/Laois was welcomed on an exclusive tour inside. The spacious, colourful and fully accessible school has eight classrooms, PE hall, library, specialised therapy rooms and playgrounds for the holistic care of the children.  Full story to follow.
