THE village of Adare was the second last parade of the day in County Limerick and the sun shone down on one of Ireland’s tidiest towns.
Beginning at the national school, the floats, cars and locals made their way towards the Dunraven Arms Hotel.
Led by the Munster Camogie All-Ireland Champions, it was soon followed by Irish dancers, school goers and many organisations that make Adare what it is.
Co-ordinator Trisha made sure everything ran smoothly and on time with marshalls lining the streets to make way for the bands, tractors and vintage cars that followed.
The waft of BBQ filled the streets as locals enjoyed the Friday off to soak up some St.Patrick's Day festivities.
Other participants in the parade included Adare United AFC, Olaf from the Disney favourite, Frozen, Shannon Dragons, Urgent Medical Transport, the Civil Defence, Adare Camogie and Ladies Football players as well as GAA, Adare Manor and the Woodlands Hotel.
The crowds were entertained with music from the Boherbuoy Band, Redemptorist Centre of Music, Croagh School of Music Newcastle West & District Pipe Band.
