WATCH: Rising star won't be 'Homesick' as family fly in for sold out Thomond Park gig

SHE'S quickly becoming one of Ireland's most popular artists and has been supporting world renowned singers. 

Nell Mescal is only 19 years-old and in the past few weeks has supported Florence and the Machine, P!nk, is on the bill for Electric Picnic and she's also supporting Dermot Kennedy on his Irish tour. 

"I'm so excited, I got to support Dermot in Dublin in Marlay Park and it was surreal so I'm so excited to be playing Thomond Park.

It was such a crazy week but I'm very excited to go back and do it all again in Limerick," the Homesick singer said. 

This is going to be the Kildare natives biggest stadium gig to date having played for Florence and the Machine in Musgrave Park in Cork last week and she explained to Limerick Live what to expect from her set: "I'll be playing most of the songs which are out and I have a new song out on Friday (today) and it will be the first time that's played, which is really, really fun and a load of unreleased songs, my band are amazing, it's just a really fun show".

While her famous brother Paul won't make it on Saturday, he's on set for Gladiator 2, the sequel to Gladiator which starred Russell Crowe, the rest of her family will be in Limerick. This will be her brothers Donnacha's first time to see her perform live as he's been living in New York.
