WATCH: Minister for Sport highlights the importance of the Great Limerick Run

THE COUNTDOWN to the Regeneron Great Limerick Run has begun, with the official launch taking place at the Strand Hotel.

Minister of State at the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, Thomas Byrne was on hand to help launch the event, which will take place on May 4.

Speaking at the launch, Minister Byrne highlighted that the run is the biggest participation event outside of Dublin.

“It is really important that we get more and more people involved physically active at events like this,” he added.
