Longford #LE24: Uruemu Adejinmi is 'thankful to community that has placed trust in me'

Just minutes after being re-elected to the Longford Municipal District, Cllr Uruemu Adejinmi said she had a mixture of emotions and was both "proud" and "humble" that the local community had placed its trust in her.

Having being co-opted to Longford County Council in 2020, she looked forward to continuing her work on behalf of the local community for the next five years.

She was one of four Fianna Fáil councillors returned in the Longford Local Electoral Area, along with three Fine Gael candidates.

She described the role of a councillor as a "very rewarding one" and undertook to do her best and "really work hard to deliver" for the communities in Longford.

"This girl is so grateful," she said to all who had supported her, particularly her own family.
