VIDEO: Big crowds in Dundalk for St Patrick's Day parade

A World of Imagination is the theme of this year's parade in Dundalk

Crowds lined the streets in Dundalk today for the St Patrick's Day parade. A World of Imagination is the theme of this year's parade in Dundalk. The theme is designed to inspire innovation, encourage artistic expression, and highlight the extraordinary imagination within the Dundalk community.

The parade started at 1pm from Patrick Street, making its way through the main streets of the town. This year’s parade also saw the return of the dedicated sensory zone along Dublin Street, providing a quieter, more accessible space along the parade route for families and individuals who may benefit from a calmer environment during the celebrations.

Following the parade, the celebrations will continue with family fun in Market Square, where there will be live entertainment throughout the afternoon. Tribute acts and a DJ will take to the main stage, creating a lively atmosphere for families and visitors to enjoy.
