Cllr Máirín McGrath has put her incredible vote in the Cahir Local Electorate Area down to hard work.
As the tallies came in on Saturday afternoon it was clear that the Newcastle councillor was going to top the poll.
She received 2,079 first preference votes. Her first preference vote in 2019 was 1,168.
