The protest outside the gates of Dundrum House Hotel over the use of the hotel to house International Protection Applicants is ongoing, albeit tensions have eased.
On Tuesday, huge crowds gathered at the gates of the hotel in protest against the buses carrying IPAS applicants into the hotel.
A huge garda presence was on site and in the surrounding areas, with cars and jeeps blocking the roads leading up to the hotel from all directions.
Tensions were high in the area at the time, with Dundrum trending on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday night, however in the days that have passed since, the area has resumed to how it appeared prior to the move, with the protest station manned by several locals of the Dundrum area.
