Circus and dance as high-energy Earthfall lights up Galway's Town Hall Theatre

‘Earthfall’, a high-energy show that weaves dance and circus with cultural influences from Zimbabwe, Brazil and Ireland will be staged at the city's Town Hall Theatre on Wednesday next, September 2, as part of a national tour.
In this show from the Sligo-based cross-disciplinary company which was founded 10 years ago, four people find themselves trapped in a Kafkaesque world of mad rules, with boundaries and schedules that change without rhyme or reason.
Some of the four have been there for years, while others have just arrived.
Alienated and without agency, they explore how to survive in this seemingly endless limbo. As a young girl watches on, it's unclear to the audience how much of what she is witnessing is reality and how much relates to her own nightmares.
Together, they find pathways that lead them deeper into the restricting maze until the connections they make with each other give them the strength to create change.
With a striking theatrical set and original sound score, ‘Earthfall’ offers a joyous fusion of culture from an international and intergenerational ensemble. Directed by co-founder Kate Wilson, ‘Earthfall’, with its cast of five demonstrates the deep need for connection and desire to move without limits.
The 55-minute show, for ages 10+ starts at 8pm. Tickets €18/€16, plus booking, at tht.ie, 091-569777 or the box office.
