All are welcome

Our Lady Queen of the Travellers Missionary is inviting people from all walks of life, communities and backgrounds to a special afternoon of faith, healing and hope at Galway Cathedral on Saturday, 17 October 2026, from 1:00pm to 4:30pm.

The purpose of the event is to bring people together and remind them that no matter where they come from or what difficulties they may be facing, there is always an opportunity for forgiveness, healing, hope and a new beginning through faith.

The afternoon will touch on real issues affecting individuals, families and communities today, including addiction to drugs and alcohol, forgiveness, family difficulties and the challenges people can face in everyday life.

There will be Holy Mass celebrated by Fr John Gerard Acton, along with Confession, Adoration, prayer, music and personal testimonies. Liam Stewart of Heal the Hurt Ministry will share his own testimony and a message of faith and hope.

A special part of the day will be the opportunity to venerate more than 100 sacred relics, including relics associated with St Charbel, St Teresa of Calcutta (Mother Teresa), St Padre Pio and many more.

The hope is to bring people together in Galway through faith, regardless of background, race or creed, creating an atmosphere of unity, respect, healing and hope where everyone is genuinely welcome.

“The Church is not a museum for saints, but a hospital for sinners.”

“Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future.”

That message is at the heart of the day. Whatever your past, whatever difficulties you are facing, you are welcome to come through the doors. Whether someone is strong in their faith, has been away from the Church for years, is struggling in their life, or simply wants to come along and listen, they are welcome.

The hope is that people leave with a renewed sense of faith, forgiveness and hope for the future.

The event takes place at Galway Cathedral, Gaol Road, Galway, H91 A780, on Saturday, 17 October 2026, from 1:00pm to 4:30pm.

All are welcome.
