Galway City Councillor Crowe wings his way into HSE West Forum chair

Galway City Councillor Mike Crowe (FF) has been elected as chair of the HSE Regional Health Forum West and North West.
The Bohermore barrister was nominated by his party colleague, County Councillor from Tuam, Donagh Killilea. He was elected unopposed at this Tuesday’s AGM.
Sligo Councillor Edel McSharry was elected as vice-chair.
Councillor Crowe replaces Donegal Councillor Gerry McMonagle as chair of the Forum, which gives elected councillors from across the West and North West an opportunity to ask questions of the HSE and make representations about local health issues.
Councillor Crowe said the Forum was about holding the executive to account but it was also important to work with HSE management on delivering for the region.
Councillor Crowe said he would treat everyone elected to the Forum fairly and equally while in the chair.
