Cousin issues last seen update for 14-year-old Galway girl missing for five days
New details have emerged into her disappearance
The cousin of a missing 14-year-old Galway teenager has issued an update on the fifth day of her disappearance.
Giselle McNeill from Mervue, who is around five foot five; with a slim build, black hair and blue eyes, has been missing since Sunday according to her cousin Anna Thirukeswaran.
Anna says it is quite possible that Giselle, also known as Ellie who was wearing a black top and white trainers at the time of her disappearance, could be as far as Dublin but has also not ruled out the fact that she might still be somewhere in Galway.
Her family and gardai are extremely worried for her concern and wellbeing with Anna asking Ellie to make contact or anyone that may know her location to contact gardai or the family.
She said: “To my friends and loved ones in Galway, please keep an eye out for my cousin Ellie who has been missing since Sunday. Everyone is extremely worried and just want her home safe and sound.
“It’s possible that she’s in Galway or Dublin. Please share with your friends, family, younger siblings or anyone who may know her.
“Please contact the number on the poster if you see her or know anything about her whereabouts since Sunday afternoon. Thank you.”
The official garda missing report reads: “Gardaí are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 14-year-old Giselle McNeill, who is reported missing from Mervue, Co. Galway since 12th October 2026.
“Giselle is described as being approximately 5 foot 5 inches in height, with a slim build, black hair and blue eyes. Gardaí and Giselle’ family are concerned for her well-being.
“Anyone with information on Giselle’s whereabouts is asked to contact Galway Garda Station on 091 538 000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.”
