Bathing warning issued for Mayo beach
Mayo County Council says Mullaghroe Beach has been placed under precautionary notice pending water quality testing
Mayo County Council has issued an Advisory Not To Swim notice for Mullaghroe Beach in Belmullet.
The precautionary notice was put in place on Tuesday, July 7. No specific reason has been announced by Mayo County Council.
It was confirmed that water will be resampled and analysed, with a further update to be provided once test results become available.
The council is advising members of the public to be aware of the warning and to monitor updates regarding the status of the bathing waters over the coming days.
