Mayo business named 'Restaurant of the Year 2026' at Food Awards Ireland

La Casa - Tapas & Wine, a south Mayo restaurant owned by Caroline Boyle and her husband chef Aleksandr Dimitrov, has been named 'Restaurant of the Year 2026' at The Food Awards Ireland, following huge success since its opening in late 2023.
La Casa - Tapas & Wine, located in Claremorris, are celebrating a prestigious win following huge success at The Food Awards Ireland.
The south Mayo restaurant was named ‘Restaurant of the Year 2026’ at the prestigious awards.
The restaurant was opened in late 2023 by local native Caroline Boyle Dimitrova and her husband, chef Aleksandr Dimitrov.
The pair bring over 50 years of combined hospitality experience to their restaurant in the west of Ireland. Before opening La Casa - Tapas & Wine, they spent 12 years working together in Dublin - most notably managing Salamanca.
Since opening, the restaurant has collected several awards, including Best Emerging Business at the Mayo Business Awards, Best Newcomer at the Irish Restaurant Awards, and many awards at the Yes Chef Awards.
