Mayo charities invited to apply for grants of up to €12,000

A national funding programme is offering financial support to organisations helping people overcome barriers to careers in music, film, gaming and other creative industries
Charities in Mayo are being invited to apply for grants of up to €12,000 as part of a €100,000 funding programme aimed at helping people access careers in the creative industries.
The Regional Creatives Fund Ireland, run by Amazon, has returned for 2026 and is now accepting applications from eligible organisations across the country.
The fund supports charities working with people from underserved communities, helping them develop the skills, experience and confidence needed to pursue creative careers.
Funding is available for programmes covering a wide range of areas, including music, film, television, gaming, fashion, photography, publishing, podcasting and digital design.
To qualify, organisations must be registered with the Charities Regulator, have an annual income below €5 million and already be delivering a programme focused on training, skills development or preparing people for employment in the creative industries.
Applicants must demonstrate how the funding would help expand or sustain an existing programme and create opportunities for people who face barriers to entering the sector.
Ali Dunn, Country Manager for Amazon in Ireland, said the initiative aims to ensure creative opportunities are available to people regardless of their background or location.
“We understand that talent exists everywhere in Ireland, but opportunity doesn’t,” she said. “The Regional Creatives Fund Ireland supports the organisations who are creating these opportunities and we’re looking forward to positively impacting many more people and programmes across the country with this year’s fund.”
Applications will be assessed by a judging panel featuring representatives from Amazon, the Royal Irish Academy of Music, Business to Arts, the Digital Hub and the Writers Guild of Ireland.
Judges will consider the impact of existing programmes, evidence of their success and how the proposed funding would help participants progress towards employment or careers in creative industries.
Applications are open now and will close at midnight on Monday, November 30, 2026.
Eligible Mayo charities can apply through the Regional Creatives Fund Ireland application form.
