Dr Nora Patten, who is set to become the first Irish person to travel to space, has shown her support for Mayo ahead of Sunday's All-Ireland senior men's football final against Kerry in a unique way.
The Ballina native shared a video on social media showing the Mayo pin she brought with her to space training in Ottawa, Canada.
Dr Patten also revealed that she plans to take the pin with her on the IIAS-02 microgravity research mission, joining fellow crew members Kellie Gerardi and Dr Shawna Pandya.
The crew will fly aboard Virgin Galactic's next-generation Delta-class spacecraft on a suborbital research mission, carrying a range of Irish-designed scientific payloads and experiments to investigate the effects of microgravity.
