Two Portwest sample sales raise vital funds to support children and families in need

Westport company Portwest has raised an impressive €3,005 for Sunflower Children’s Hospice through two sample sales, providing a welcome boost to the hospice’s fundraising efforts.

The hospice expressed its gratitude to everyone at Portwest who contributed to the initiative, highlighting the generosity and enthusiasm shown by staff in supporting its work with children and their families.

Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation CEO Martina Jennings recently visited Portwest to meet with staff and share information about the hospice and the support it will provide to children and their families.

The visit provided an opportunity to discuss the importance of the foundation’s work and the difference community and corporate fundraising can make to families facing challenging circumstances.

The funds raised would help it continue supporting families when they need it most.

The Sunflower Children’s Hospice will provide specialist paediatric palliative care for children with life-limiting conditions and support for their families across eight counties along the western seaboard

The foundation expressed its appreciation to everyone who took part in the two sample sales and helped make the fundraising effort a success.
