Mayo County Council confirmed road strengthening works will take place on the L1311

Motorists travelling between Swinford and Meelick are being advised to expect delays this week as Mayo County Council carries out road strengthening works on the L1311 Swinford to Meelick Road.

The works are scheduled to take place from today Monday, July 13, to Wednesday, July 15 on two sections of the road.

During the works, temporary traffic management will be in operation, with a local diversion in place to facilitate the project.

Mayo County Council is advising road users to allow extra time for their journeys and, where possible, consider alternative routes while the works are underway.
