Animation camps, book clubs, family art sessions and creative workshops feature in the Linenhall’s July programme

The Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar is continuing its busy summer programme with a range of creative events and activities for all ages throughout July.

Young creatives can take part in the popular Summer Animation Camp from July 20 to 24. Delivered in partnership with Inspireland, the camp will give children and teenagers the opportunity to explore storytelling, character design and stop-motion filmmaking.

Book lovers are also invited to the Linenhall World Book Club on Thursday, July 23, at 6.30pm. Hosted by Michael Minassie, the free event offers readers the chance to discuss books, share recommendations and enjoy good conversation.

On Saturday, July 25, artist Anthony D Kelly will lead the Connacht Collage Collective, welcoming artists, makers and beginners to experiment with collage techniques in a relaxed and creative environment.

The centre’s Family Art Sessions – Summer Edition return on July 29, encouraging children and adults to create artwork together through hands-on activities.

Looking ahead, the Linenhall has also announced a packed autumn programme featuring performances by folk duo Teague & Joyce on September 4, Ronan Ó Snodaigh and Myles O’Reilly on September 17, and the return of the Bolay Visual Artists Café on September 29.

Further information and booking details are available through the Linenhall Box Office or on the centre’s website.
