Three generations gather as Mayo man Sean Nestor celebrates 85th birthday
Belcarra family reunited at Sligo Park Hotel for the special milestone celebration
There were smiles, laughter and cherished family moments in abundance this week as Sean and Ann Nestor of Belcarra, Castlebar, celebrated Sean’s 85th birthday with a special family gathering at the Sligo Park Hotel.
The three-day reunion, held from Monday to Wednesday, brought together the couple’s entire family, including their six children, their partners and 18 grandchildren, whose ages range from four to 20 years.
The occasion was made even more special as family members travelled from near and far to celebrate the milestone birthday. Sean and Ann’s son, Colm, a professor at Linköping University in Sweden, returned home with his wife and their three children to join the celebrations.
The gathering provided a rare opportunity for the extended family to spend quality time together, creating lasting memories while celebrating Sean’s birthday.
With three generations represented, the reunion reflected the strong family bonds that have remained at the heart of the Nestor family over the years.
The celebrations at the Sligo Park Hotel marked not only Sean’s 85th birthday but also a joyful family occasion filled with love and togetherness, as relatives reunited to honour the special milestone.
