The death has occurred of John Cooney of Sea Road, Castlebellingham and late of North Road, Drogheda, Co Louth

In his 84th year, peacefully in the wonderful care of the doctors and staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. John, beloved husband of Dorrie (née Masur) and loving father of Martin, Joanne, Maria and Andrew. Predeceased by his daughters Sandra and Caroline, brothers Dessie and Tony and sister Cathy.

Sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughters, daughters-in-law Louise and Bernie, son-in-law Shane, grandchildren Amelia, Sophie, Shea, Lois, Ava, Caragh, Dylan, Conor, A J and Zoe, brothers Paddy and Eamonn, sisters Angela and Joan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Connor’s Funeral Home, Dunleer from 4pm until 8pm on Friday. Removal on Saturday morning to Saint Mary’s Church, Kilsaran, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, in lieu to The Birches Alzheimers Day Care Centre, Dundalk or The Stroke Unit, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. House strictly private please.
