Encore Productions set to take to the stage at Dundalk's An Táin

In their final show as An Táin Arts Centre’s Theatre Company in Residence, Encore Productions present their adaptation of The Visit by Freidrich Durrenmatt.

The desperate citizens of Guellen await the arrival of Klara Zachanassian – the world’s richest woman and one time citizen of this blighted town.

While they scheme to gain money from their visitor she hatches a plan of her own- one which will send shockwaves into the very heart of this community.

Durrenmatt’s darkly comic fable exposes hypocrisy and greed and asks us all what lengths we might go to in the pursuit of money….or revenge.

Who has dared to stop the train? Would you wear the yellow shoes? What is the true cost of Klara’s millions?

Encore Productions bring their trademark honesty and commitment to the telling of this tale – blending passionate live performance with stunning video courtesy of visionary film-maker Dara McKluskey.

The motley band of visitors and boldly drawn citizens allow this ensemble cast to really shine.

The result is a thoughtful and dynamic piece of theatre sure to enthrall audiences of all ages.

Tickets for The Visit in An Táin Arts Centre are €8.50 (€1.50 booking fee per ticket) at 8pm on September 26th and 28th and €3.50 (plus €1.50 booking fee per ticket) for the 11am show on September 27th.
