Experience the thrill of the Medieval Era in north Louth town

Step back in time and immerse yourself in the rich history of the medieval period at Carlingford's exciting Medieval Event on September 14th and 15th, 2024. This free, family-friendly event offers visitors of all ages a unique opportunity to explore the past with a host of engaging activities. 

This unique event is a Viking reenactment by the renowned Fingal Living History Society. The Viking camp will feature 10 living history tents where visitors can witness authentic craft displays, offering a fascinating glimpse into Viking life.

Additionally, there will be two thrilling combat displays each day at 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm, showcasing the skill and bravery of fully trained warriors in action. The camp will be open for visitors at 12.00 noon each day and will close at 5.00pm 

To complement the historical experience, enjoy the sounds of live traditional Irish music from the era, bringing the atmosphere of medieval Carlingford to life.
