ST BRIDES 2-14
There was no surprise in Tullyallen on Friday night where, for the sixth time this season, St Brides had to settle for a draw.
The Knockbridge side certainly left it late before extending their remarkable record as they fought back from a seven point deficit with three minutes remaining. Full-forward Kieran McArdle was the man who sealed the comeback with the equalising point six minutes into added time.
The pattern of the game was set from the early stages as Kevin Hearty and Alex Carolan exchanged scores, before Darragh Russell scored the opening goal of the game on ten minutes.
However, St Brides fought back and in the 21st minute Andrew Smyth found the net to send the teams in level at 1-7 apiece.
The second half saw the Tullyallen side get a grip on the game and a Cian Talbot goal on 42 minutes helped them lead by seven entering the closing stages.
However, the visitors, and Kieran McArdle in particular, were in no mood to give up. McArdle’s goal on 33 minutes gave his side hope before he held his nerve to land the equaliser.
