Louth councillor welcomes improvements to mobile coverage in Hackballscross area

Recent improvements to telecommunication infrastructure at Hackballscross Garda Station
Dundalk-Carlingford's Cllr John Reilly has welcomed recent improvements to the telecommunication infrastructure at the Hackballscross Garda Station, which he says will improve mobile phone coverage in the area.
Cllr Reilly says that as a result of the improvements, most mobile phone customers in the area will now have access to 4G coverage within a few miles of the station.
The Fine Gael councillor says he has been working on this issue for the past year with the help of Cllr Robert Nash and Senator John McGahon, who raised this issue in Seanad Éireann .
"This upgrade to the equipment was long overdue with mobile phone customers in the area, putting up with terrible signal", Cllr Reilly commented.
"Obviously the further away from the Garda station the weaker the signal", he added but Cllr Reilly says he is confident that more improvement works are earmarked over the coming year.
