The management of the pub released a heartfelt message of gratitude on social media

The management behind a family-run pub located on The Curragh has announced, ‘with heavy hearts’, that the premises will close its doors.

The revelation, which relates to The Bush Pub, was made on social media by its owners, John and Maria Vaughan.

They explained: “As we bring this chapter to a close, we want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey over the years.

“Thank you for every laugh across the bar, every story shared, and every big and small moment celebrated together; you didn’t just support our local business, you gave The Bush its heart and soul.”

John and Maria continued: “To all our wonderful staff, past and present, especially Betty, thank you for your loyalty, dedication and hard work throughout the years; we are truly grateful.

“While the doors may be closing, the friendships, laughter and memories made within these walls will stay with us forever.

“Thank you for allowing The Bush to be part of your lives and this wonderful community; it’s been a privilege.”

They signed off the message with the following closing line: “With warmest regards and best wishes, John & Maria Vaughan.”
