Local authority asks people who received letters to respond to the council as soon as possible

Louth County Council has urged people who it has contacted regarding their housing needs to respond to its communication as soon as possible, or risk being removed from its housing list, according to Ardee's Cllr Dolores Minogue.

Cllr Minogue contacted the Dundalk Democrat in relation to the matter and has said that the local authority's request is an important one for those concerned to follow up on, especially those who are on the hosing list.

In the communication shared with the Dundalk Democrat by Cllr Minogue, Louth County Council's Housing Section is urging those concerned that: "If you or someone you know is on the housing list and has received a letter asking to update your housing needs, please make sure to respond to the council as soon as possible.

"Failing to reply could result in removal from the list, and it may be very difficult to get back on. You won’t be reinstated in the same position or maintain your original spot based on the time you've been waiting. Don’t risk losing your place—reach out to the council today."
