Louth diner celebrates after scooping top food award
Dundalk’s Gino’s Diner won an award for ‘Outstanding Achievement’ in the ‘Best Fish N’ Chips Establishment’ category at The Food Awards Ireland 2026.
This was a part of the ‘Best Fish N’ Chips Establishment’ category which was won by Dublin’s C Aprile Takeaway Fish and Chips.
In a Facebook post, Gino’s Diner said: “Huge thanks to our amazing customers, staff, families, and friends for their loyalty, hard work, and support.
“This award belongs to us all. We're proud and motivated to keep improving.”
Now in its 9th year and hosted by comedian Cathal Shanagher, the awards celebrate the restaurants, cafés, takeaways, pubs, chefs and food businesses raising standards across Ireland’s hospitality industry.
The event was held on Monday 26 October at theMaldron Hotel Tallaght, Dublin.
