A 'lovely friend' - Kilkenny dog shelter seeks new home for pet surrendered by ill owner

The Carlow-Kilkenny Dog Shelter are on a mission to find JR a new home!
The Carlow-Kilkenny Dog Shelter have issued an appeal to find a dog surrendered by their owner a new home.
JR was surrendered due to his owners health issues. He is four years old and can live either alone or with another dog but not with cats.
The young dog is seeking a family home where he can reside indoors.
“JR can be very wary of strangers and for this reason we are looking for a quieter home with not too many visitors, someone at home more often than not as he loves human company,” the local shelter said in their appeal.
“Adult only home preferably, he will require a garden to run around and this must be fully enclosed, no local authority housing as restricted breeds are not permitted. He walks well on the lead, although-he can be a bit strong at first, he is fully house trained.
“JR will make a fantastic companion, true to his breed he will be a loyal, loving friend to the right person with Shepherd experience, if you are interested in adopting him and to discuss further please call us on 0599726785 during opening hours.”
The shelter is open from 10am to 3pm weekdays and until 1pm on Saturdays.
