Louth gardai seize over €60k worth of cannabis

Gardaí in Louth say they have seized over €60,000 worth of suspected cannabis following a number of search operations in the Drogheda Division yesterday.

The search operations were conducted by Drogheda Divisional Drugs Unit as part of investigations into persons suspected of being involved in the sale and supply of drugs in County Louth.

A total of €62,300 worth of suspected cannabis was seized by Gardaí during the course of these searches.

Gardai say three men were arrested yesterday in relation to these seizures, and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in County Louth.

They have since been charged to appear before court.
