Any remaining frost and fog will clear this morning. Some hazy sunshine at first but mostly cloudy with patchy rain or drizzle spreading from the southwest during the afternoon.

Highest afternoon temperatures of 8 to 10 Celsius but becoming a little milder after dark. Moderate to fresh and gusty southeast winds will develop, and will strong at times near coasts.

Breezy on Thursday night with outbreaks of rain and drizzle across the western half of the country with some heavy falls. It looks set to stay largely dry further east apart from the odd spot of rain or drizzle.

A mild night with lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in fresh and gusty southerly winds.
