A rescue himself from Dog’s Aid is this year’s Louth representative for the nationwide Nose of Tralee competition.

Nine year old Zeke, a black German Shepherd from Cooley will be up against 31 dogs and cats from around the country to win the title.

Zeke currently has played brother from another mother to over 200 kittens and loves when his rescue siblings get to be adopted into dog and cat friendly homes.

Owner Kate says he’s a gentle giant, and oozes calm and patience and although he may look like a wolf, he quickly makes even the most dog wary people feel comfortable.

A rescue himself from Dog’s Aid in Dublin, he’s lived in Dublin, the United States, and now resides happily on the sea in Louth.

“A world traveler who always knew Ireland was home. He’d love your support so that he can donate his winnings to our local rescue (Drogheda Animal Rescue) and help more amazing souls like him get a second chance,” Kate said.

Run by Pet Sitters Ireland, the Nose of Tralee seeks to find the cutest, funniest, most adorable pet in Ireland.

Voting opens 1st Aug - 19th August and people can vote once every 24 hrs. For more information and to vote, visit: www.petsittersireland.com/nose-2024/
