Man recovered from water at Carlingford Harbour

A man was recovered from the water in Carlingford Harbour in the early hours of Monday morning.

At around 2am Gardaí received reports of a man recovered from the water at Carlingford Harbour.

The man, aged in his 40s, was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda where he was later pronounced dead.

Gardai say that enquiries are ongoing.

It is believed the incident is being treated as a tragic accident.
