Getting Louth its share of resources

Cllr Paula Butterly, from a proud Louth farming community, say she “understands the challenges you and your family face”. After a successful business career abroad, she returned home in 2016 and has been a practising barrister over the last number of years.

As a mother, and sister to a brother with complex medical needs, Paula says she knows the difficulties of balancing work and family care.

Farming and Rural Communities: Paula is dedicated to supporting rural businesses and farms, essential for sustainable jobs and vibrant communities. She is committed to ensure that funding remains in place for community and volunteer and increased funding for roads and infrastructure.

Families: She advocates for better care and education for children, including more school places, improved transport, and special needs support. Paula also fights for resources to help the elderly remain active and independent in their communities and homes and will be proposing that the Fair Deal Scheme is available for people who want to remain in their homes.

Enterprise: She supports SMEs, calling for urgent reviews of VAT rates and promoting efficient planning to regenerate towns and villages. Tackling dereliction in our towns will be a key priority and ensuring our towns and villages thrive.

Paula Butterly seeks your support to secure Louth's fair share of resources, saying: “Together we can build a more vibrant and prosperous Louth. I want to bring your voices and my passion to a national level.”
