Mother-of-two robbed man in Dundalk

A man was robbed on Clanbrassil Street after a woman put her hand into his pocket and took out a sum of money, Dundalk District Court heard last week.
Judge Eirinn McKiernan was told Shanice Mulready (30) of Oldbridge, Toberona, Dundalk and another person were involved in taking €200 from the victim at around 7.30pm on July 15th last year.
A sum of money fell on the ground and her male accomplice stood on it.
A victim impact statement was handed into the court, which heard the mum of two had 88 previous convictions.
Her solicitor said that she has a long standing issue with drugs and alcohol and was stuck in a cycle of misuse and offending, but while she has been in custody now has enhanced prisoner status, has undertaken a hairdressing course and has a release date in July.
Judge McKiernan imposed a two month jail term for a theft from Maxol filling station on the Castletown Road on December 6th last.
A consecutive six month sentence was imposed on the defendant for the robbery charge, both of which are consecutive to the sentence she is currently serving.
