Plans for new mixed use development in Omeath

Mixed commercial & residential development on Main Street

Plans are underway for a new mixed commercial and residential development in Omeath in north Louth.

Gerry Murphy has applied to Louth County Council for planning permission to demolish two existing commercial units and for the construction of a mixed commercial and residential development at Main Street, Knocknagoran, Omeath.

The planned development comprises two ground floor retail units over a basement parking and storage area and a three bedroom first floor apartment in a two and three storey building, as well as three, two storey two bedroom terraced dwellings.

The residential units are to be provided with a private amenity space in the form of private gardens / balconies. The planning application also provides for items including the provision of new vehicular entrance road, car and bike parking areas, bin stores and an EV charging point.

A decision is due on the application by 24 October, with submissions due by 3 October.
