Plans progressing for nine new houses in Louth Village
Development planned for Richard Taaffes Holding
Plans are progressing for a new development in Louth Village, that if given the go ahead would see the construction of nine new houses.
Canelous Limited applied to Louth County Council in November 2023, for planning permission for the development at Richard Taaffes Holding, Louth Village that would include the demolition of the single storey extension to the rear of the existing building “The Ploughmans Inn”.
The applicant seeks to construct nine new houses at the site which would comprise a two bedroom bungalow, and eight, three bedroom semi-detached houses.
The planning application also provides for items including a new entrance roadway, footpaths, car parking, and a public open space.
A decision was initially due on the application by January of this year but the local planning authority sought further information on the planned development.
Following the submission of significant further information on 29 May, which included revised site boundaries and alterations to car parking arrangements and public open space, a decision is now due on the application by 25 June.
