Sitar Indian Restaurant

For a third year, the Singh family who run the Sitar Indian Restaurant in Dundalk, have announced that they will be offering a free Christmas day takeaway dinner to those in need.

The kind-hearted restaurateurs of the popular eaterie at 32 Chapel Street in Dundalk will open their doors on Christmas Day to offer a free takeaway hot meal to any homeless, elderly or vulnerable people who calls to them. The wonderful act of kindness will take place from 1pm to 4pm on Christmas Day.

The family said that their goal this year is "to feed folks who are struggling, homeless, hurting, elderly, shut in, or in anyway in need of a meal. If you know anyone who can benefit from this meal, please let them know. If you can get them here, please do."

The Singh's say that many people have volunteered to help on the day and that "it’s truly amazing the number of people who want to help - and we are so grateful…it really shows the heart of our community.

"I wish we could use everyone that’s willing, it just isn’t feasible. We ask everyone who wants to volunteer to find someone who needs this meal and get them here, or stop by and get a meal to take to them. No questions will be asked!"
