Seeking planning permission from new development

St Vincent's Secondary School in Dundalk has plans underway to construct a new school building with a planning application submitted to Louth County Council.

The Board of Management of St Vincent's Secondary School has applied to the local planning authority for planning permission for the development at Seatown Place, Dundalk which will consist of the construction of an extension to the existing school to provide a new school building one to three stories in height.

The planned works include reconfiguration and demolition works to some existing buildings, ancillary accommodation and all associated site development works, including the relocation of car parking and new sports pitches on the site, south of the main school site accessed via Seatown Place.

The site of the proposed development contains five Protected Structures and is located within the Jocelyn Street/Seatown Place Architectural Conservation Area (ACA) at St. Vincent’s Secondary School.

A decision is due on the application, which is at a pre-validation stage, by 15 November.
