Doonbeg will be holding its annual International Jazz Festival from June 2 to 5, and it promises to be as excellent as ever with the village gearing up for a jam packed June weekend.

There will be music starting on Friday evening and going on through the whole weekend, during the day and evenings until late.

The organisers are always keen to be able to include everyone who would like to hear some excellent music and see some fantastic musicians and performers, and so there will be concerts outside during the day to enable children to attend with their parents.

The programme for the weekend has 23 performances, with eight bands from Ireland, Scotland, and performers from Sardinia, Mexico, Italy, Germany, Netherland and U.S.A, and is designed to suit all tastes, and ages.

There will be Swing, Dixieland, Latin, Jazz, Gypsy Jazz, Jive and Soul, and Jamaican Ska. Bands appearing this year are: Dolce Cantina an Irish, Mexican, Sardinian Quartet based in Limerick, The Downtown Dixieland Band from Limerick, Loco Swing featuring Antonello D'Orazio on saxophone based in Dublin, Jazz Main from Edinburgh, Jazz Lite from Limerick, The Runaway Retros from Cork, Surf City Band from Miltown Malbay and Doonbegs own Skazz.

The festival programme can be downloaded from the Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/doonbeginternationaljazzfestival.
