Free art exhibition explores one of Clare's most treasured spots

Clare-based artist to host exhibition for all, free of charge
A free, month-long exhibition which showcases one popular Clare spot has opened in west Clare.
Clare Arts Office is presenting “Walks from the Pollock Holes to Santiago” - an exhibition of art by Marianne Potterton.
Marianne, who has 25 years experience working as a professional artist, is a visual artist based in Doolin, Co Clare.
The free exhibition will continue until March 15 at the Cultúrlann Sweeney Library Gallery, Kilkee and all ages are welcome.
While Marianne was in college, she would often stay in Kilkee and paint The Pollock Holes and walk along the coast line painting, drawing and writing poetry.
For 10 years she has opened her studio to the public, holding exhibitions, workshops and events. Marianne’s art is in many private collections globally.
Currently, until February 24, she is exhibiting some other paintings from this series in The Courthouse Gallery in Ennistymon.
For her most recent project, Marianne has been going back almost every day to a particular place to walk and spend time between painting in her studio, and seeing how this kind of pilgrimage affects her paintings over a month.
