Awards and supports available for Limerick businesses incorporating Gaeilge

Comhluadar Luimnigh is hosting an information evening for local companies
COMHLUADAR Luimnigh is hosting an information session on the grants, supports and awards available for Limerick businesses that involve the Irish language in their company.
Any businesses who currently incorporate the native language or are interested in beginning to are invited to attend the session.
Pádraig Ó Neachtain from Gradaim Gnó will be answering questions on the grants and awards available to businesses if they incorporate the Irish language in their signage and/or other aspects of their company.
He will also explain how Limerick businesses can enter the Gradaim Gnó awards scheme and access additional grants and supports.
The Gradaim Gnó awards are funded by Foras na Gaeilge and are administered by Glór na nGael.
The awards are given to businesses for their use of the Irish language across three areas: Signage, Branding and Marketing, and Service in Irish.
This year will mark the third year of the Gradaim Gnó awards.
Ava Nic Searraigh, Irish language officer with Comhluadar Luimnigh, explains that “Many businesses are not aware of the award scheme or the grants available. Research shows that usage of the Irish language in your business can increase business and can create customer goodwill. This scheme is for all sizes and types of businesses, big or small, refreshments will be served.”
Comhluadar Luimnigh are hosting the special information session from 7-8pm on Thursday, July 25 in the Strand Hotel in Limerick city.
Anyone who is interested in attending the information evening can contact Ava Nic Searraigh at [email protected].

26 of the 146 comapnies achieved gold medals in all three areas judged, with another 74 receiving at least one gold medal.
Tesco Ireland and Trócaire were among the winning businesses last year.
