A GROUP of giddy Limerick supporters en route to Croker were already a nervous wreck with the sliothar not thrown in yet and then they were stopped in their tracks, literally!

All was going according to plan until the bus, mainly full of fans going to Croke Park, went off the M7 at Newbridge, presumably due to the heavy traffic.

"The driver must have been following a sat nav because the roads and housing estates were getting smaller and smaller until we eventually got stuck between parked cars.

"The driver knocked on all the doors but had no joy in finding the owners of a couple of cars," Martin told Limerick Live.

He took the Twitter to say he has never seen anything like it.

"Fawlty Towers wouldn't get a look in," he joked.

However, two resourceful supporters pushed in the wing mirrors of the cars causing the impasse and directed the driver through.

"We were stuck for about 10 to 15 minutes. We got the bus at 9.45am and we're still on the road but we'll get there sure - up Limerick!" said Martin at around 1.30pm.
